First chemo's

Sat, Sep 05 2009 by Brenda

Sometime in march of 07' is when my chemo's began.  Now i was advised by my doctors to only take one chemo for six weeks then start another and so on and so on.  I chose of course my way to get all this mess done.  I told my doctor that i would rather do all three chemo's at the same time, and make them each three weeks apart to give me that little break in between.  My doctor let me know that there was a good chance my bone marrow would fail and i would pass away, but i was willing to make that sacrifice for my family.  The doctor agreed and he let me know the meds they would be using which were:

emends, benadryl, and phenergan for nasuea

then came the saline to flush my port.  I can taste it-it tastes like the smell of turpintine eww disgusting!!!

then the cho's adriamycin, cytoxin, and taxol

then more emends, phenergan, benadryl

22 hours later after all this i was done and i woould come back the next day for my nupogen shot to boost my white blood cells.  Once that was done than i was to return in three weeks for my next cycle.
