BreastCancerStories.Org Unveils New State-of-the-Art Website

PORTSMOUTH, N.H., February 24, 2009: BreastCancerStories.org - a local non-profit organization that provides people affected by breast cancer an online networking environment to keep family updated as they progress through treatment and connect with other Survivors and Care Givers - will be launching a new state-of-the-art website at the offices of PixelMEDIA in Portsmouth, NH, March 4, 2009.

Much like a traditional blog site, Breast Cancer Patients, as well as Care Givers, are able to add chapters and photos to their story page as they or their loved one progress through their treatment cycle. The uniqueness of the site comes from the search capabilities - Breast Cancer Patients can search through the stories by age, location, type of treatment and even life style issues (relationship / parental status, occupation, ethnic background), enabling them to read stories and connect with others going through a similar experience.

"Our hope is for this new website is to extend the reach of the support these stories provide to the many women and men, as well as their family and friends, who are dealing with the impact breast cancer can have on everyone it touches," said Erik Dodier, Co-founder, President, and CEO of PixelMEDIA, Inc. "BreastCancerStories.org has been an ongoing effort we have been familiar with for several years now, and we are happy to get involved, especially given our long-standing relationship with the founder, Wendy McCoole."

All are welcome to attend this very special event to be held at 222 International Drive, Suite 175, Portsmouth, NH, Wednesday, March 4, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

To RSVP in advance please contact: Anne Lynch at annetlynch@gmail.com or Wendy McCoole at wendy.mccoole@comcast.net. Raffle donations are welcome.

PARTNERING to HELP FIND a CURE

BreastCancerStories is partnering with Find A Cure Panel to empower people to play an active role in fighting breast cancer. By way of short surveys Find A Cure Panel is able to gather pertinent data and information for their clients to find a cure on our behalf every day. And as a thank you for becoming involved in this program, Find A Cure Panel will donate a minimum of $25 for every survey that is taken.

Each survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete (or less) and participants are under NO OBLIGATION whatsoever to take all (or any) of the surveys. They participate at their convenience.

This really is a tremendous opportunity to give back twice as participant's survey answers will play an active part in the breast cancer research that is being done to make this dreaded disease go away ... and they'll be helping BreastCancerStories.org to continue this invaluable support service for patients and care givers everywhere.
