Bio

My name is Wendy McCoole and I am Executive Director and Founder of this website.  I was diagnosed with breast cancer December of 2003 - 25 years after my mother was first diagnosed (she's doing great) and I started this website in 2006 as a result of my online blog entitled BALD WENDY.  BALD WENDY was created so I could share my journey with friends and family and not bombard them with email updates all the time.  Because I received so many wonderful messages of support - some from people I didn't know - I decided to leave my corporate job and start BreastCancerStories.org.

I hope you enjoy reading my story and the stories of others - it's a very powerful site and we are so blessed to be able to provide this wonderful support outlet for patients and caregivers.
